Henley and Wallingford Joint Smallpox Hospital

The hospital was founded in 1904, funded by several local authorities. It was also called South Chilterns Joint Hospital (1929-1930) and Whitelands Hospital. It seems to have closed in about 1930; certainly it did not survive the coming of the National Health Service in 1948.
